I've recently discovered and amazing little incentive for creating gift registries! Companies will give you free gifts just for adding items to your wish list. You may think this is one of those "get paid to" kinda scams, but it's not. I'm just as surprised as you are when I read what we'd get. Here is the list so far:
Jcpenny - Free engagement photos and coupons
Williams Sonoma - a long list of kitchen & household items for adding certain things to your list
Kohl's - $25 coupon, misc kitchen utensils
Macy's - reward program for gift cards
